Jacaranda

Jacaranda

The guild was founded in 1998 and has grown from a small group of approximately 30 members to a group with more than 250 members. Since the guild serves quilters in and around Pretoria, the name Jacaranda was chosen. The logo was designed by Pam Simpson and a beautiful guild quilt was made very early on by members at the time. It is still treasured by all.

Members come from all over the city and from country towns as far as Bela-Bela and Polokwane. The 19 home groups are widely spread around the Jacaranda area and a library with books, magazines and patterns are available to members. Three friendship meetings are held every year and the guild publishes 3 newsletters per year.
