Elsa is humble. She makes her service and commitment look so effortless. We are truly grateful for the many years she has given and how much she has done for South African quilting. THANK YOU.

She still serves on the SAQG committee representing the Vaal Driehoek Kwiltersgilde and currently holds the Quilters’ Hall of Fame portfolio
Was the chairperson/ coordinator of the NQF 2000, held in Johannesburg
SAQG Accredited Quilt Judge and has judged locally as well as in Zimbabwe and France
SAQG Accreditation Tutor for both the teacher’s and judge’s courses since 2006
She is known and admired for her knowledge of Quilt related history
She organized a South African exhibition of 55 quilts to Val d’Argent, France and as such represented SAQG
Was published in the discontinued ‘Lantern’ magazine in 1993
Coordinated and edited the Lapa book “Laslap en Kwilt” in 2013
Has exhibited her work nationally and internationally
Has entered most “Travelling exhibitions” as presented by SAQG
