We pay tribute to Sue for her commitment and dedication, for her significant contribution in establishing SAQG courses to help to keep a high standard of quilt teaching and judging.
Sue has served on the Good Hope Quilters’ Guild committee since 2006 and represented her guild on the SAQG committee since 2007 until 2015. As head of the SAQG judging portfolio, she has managed, advised and served in each judging room at SA National Quilt Festivals until 2015. Together with a committee, she was instrumental, in setting, defining and designing the competition categories and guidelines for the SAQG National Competitions and continues to give advice in any way she can.
She has taught and judged regionally, nationally and internationally.
Sue served as the president of SAQG from 2015 until 2017.
She has entered and won many competitions nationally and internationally and was awarded Best of Show for her fine work and original designs.
Not only is Sue a master quilter, she is also an accredited quilt judge, a much loved quilt teacher, was co-ordinator and tutor of the Quilt Teacher Accreditation Course as well as the Guild Judging Accreditation Course.
She received the GHQG Pro Dedicate award highlighting her service and dedication to the world of quilting.
